Quesos El Bucarito
A dairy located in Rota, Quesos El Bucarito make cheeses with both pasteurised and raw goat's milk in the traditional way but using the most up-to-date technology. Their animals, goats and Iberian pigs, are all fed with cereals produced nearby.
They make fresh, semi-cured and mature cheeses. They make traditional cheeses as well as those cured with aromatic herbs or paprika and there are some more personal experiences like the mature cheese coated with Rota Tintilla, a sweet wine with centuries of history and which has now been recovered.
They are also meat products: spicy pork sausage, salami and Iberian black pudding.
There is an extensive programme of visits each designed for different groups, for schools with a cheese-making workshop as well as for adults with tasting included.
