Rosal de la Frontera
Village situated on the border with Portugal in the northwest of the province on land that is dedicated to the growing of cereals, olive trees and also livestock.
History
This is a village of recent creation.In mediaeval times it was a winter pasturing place for the flocks of merino sheep who were looked after by the teams of the Mesta (a mediaeval association of cattle farmers).
The village was founded by people from Aroche and Aracena who populated this AREA.
