The Alameda del Tajo, formerly known as the Alameda de San Carlos, is located in Ronda (Malaga), next to the bullring and on the edge of the Tajo cliff. It is a beautiful 19th-century tree-lined promenade that offers stunning panoramic views of the Serranía de Ronda and the surrounding landscapes, as well as a botanical garden. The promenade consists of five parallel avenues filled with a wide variety of plant species, all leading to a walkway with an impressive balcony perched right on the edge of the cliff.
From a botanical perspective, it's worth noting that some of its centuries-old trees are listed in the guide to notable trees of the province of Malaga, including the Himalayan cedar, the towering stone pine, and the three-thorned acacia, all located near the duck pond.
This iconic park is a place for relaxation and contemplation, where both locals and visitors can enjoy the nature and history of Ronda in a unique setting.
