El Albardinal Botanical Gardens
The El Albardinal Botanical Gardens are located in Rodalquilar, an old mining village associated with the extraction of the gold and that today, after an intense renovation process, has become the environmental management centre for the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Nature Park.
The El Albardinal Botanical Garden is part of the Andalusian Network of Botanical and Mycological Gardens in Natural Areas. Here you can see wild vegetation and flora, as well as the main species from the semi-arid landscapes of eastern Andalusia. You can see almost all the methods used by plants to adapt to dry conditions, and the gardens are an exceptional place to discover species unique in Europe.
