Bathed by the Mediterranean, the city of Almería is the ideal starting point to explore the nearby places of interest. Your first stop should be Cabo de Gata Nature Reserve to take in the spectacular volcanic cliffs. To take a dip in the sea, you'll have to head to Las Negras or Playa de los Muertos.
Granada isn't just the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada. On the Granada coast you can visit Motril, Almuñécar and picturesque Salobreña. When you reach Albuñol make a stop at El Ruso beach or Melicena.
