Venta Riofrío
The Venta Riofrío is just off the A-92 motorway, exit 185, as it passes through the district of Riofrío, very near to Loja. This is a fantastic service area with a café, self-service supermarket, delicatessen with typical products from Granada, gift shop and a restaurant with a large, comfortable, recently refurbished dining room seating 400 people.
It is an ideal place to enjoy traditional Andalusian cuisine, with the best local produce, home cooking, and meat roasted in a charcoal-burning oven, specialising in organic trout and, of course, sturgeon and Riofrío caviar.
While you are at the Venta Riofrío you can visit the Equestrian Museum, which displays a variety of horse-drawn carriages, typical dresses, saddle rooms with harnesses and a collection of saddles representing the world of horses.
