Alonso Núñez Núñez was born in Chiclana de la Frontera in 1945 La Obispa´s nephew and Orillo del Puerto´s brother, from where he gets his singing blood He was introduced to the art of flamenco in Venta de Vargas in San Fernando where he listened to Aurelio Sellés As a child he became an intimate friend of Camarón and soon professed a great admiration for Caracol He worked in Madrid for many years and started numerous tours, above all in Japan In 1977 he won the Enrique el Mellizo Award in Cordoba´s National Competition Paco Cepero has accompanied him numerous times, however Rancapino has hardly recorded any albums He has a very faint voice which he is capable of using to perfection thanks to his enormous knowledge and, above all, to his way of feeling flamenco song He is renowned as one of the most important representatives of the current singing styles from Cádiz
