The Casino Liceo Mercantil in Puente Genil, built in 1897, is an emblematic building with echoes of Venetian architecture. Commissioned by Antonio López, popularly known as "El Palomo" and designed by the master builder Rodrigo García, it has witnessed more than a century of local history. Its balconies, large windows and parapets on the ground floor are particularly striking and offer views of the local orchards and riverbanks.
