Cooperativa Vitivinícola La Purísima
Cooperativa Vitivinícola La Purísima is located in the Cordoban town of Puente Genil. In 1970, a group of enterprising farmers got together and founded the Cooperativa Vitivinícola La Purísima, which is situated in the heart of Andalusia, an area with thousands of years of history in the production of great quality wines and oils.
Later, due to the fact many partners also managed olive grove estates, it was decided that an oil mill with state-of-the-art technology would be built for olive oil extraction, as well as an olive preparation plant. These expansions attracted a greater number of farmers, thus turning the cooperative into the first to combine the production of wine with that of oil and olives.
Today, the cooperative works commercially under the name of Vinolea, Bodega & Almazaramás, which is comprised of 300 members. The cooperative mainly produces extra virgin olive oil, followed by olives and wine.
