This event, designated a Festival of Tourist Interest in Andalusia, held its first edition in 1966 and over the years it has become a benchmark in the flamenco world, as well as one of the most important flamenco festivals in the world.
Over the years important flamenco singers have taken part in the event, such as Camarón de la Isla, Jerez-born Jose Mercé, Enrique Morente and even Antonio Fernández Díaz "Fosforito", among others.
