At Christmas, specifically from 25 to 29 December, La Puebla de Don Fadrique holds its Christmas Festival, designated of Regional Tourist Interest. The festival programme has remained intact since the 16th century to commemorate the events that have taken place since then, using various customs and characters.

Some of the main characters of the Christmas Festival are the Cascaborras and the Innocents, whose task is to ask for alms from neighbours and visitors for the Brotherhood of Souls, the main organiser of the festival and which later on give the proceeds to social projects.

In addition, during the event you can enjoy the delicious local gastronomy, such as the traditional cabbage seasoned with salt and olive oil, and cold meats such as güeña and patatera.
