Gastronomic Tourism
It provides readers with information on the enormous culinary wealth of Andalusia, describing the main ingredients, traditions, recipes and with comprehensive details on the possibilities for gastro-tourism, being a faithful ambassador of the Mediterranean Diet, declared by the UNESCO as a World Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2010.
It includes a map of Andalusia that details the main gastro-tourism routes. Wine, olive oil, rice, Iberian ham and Almadraba tuna are the common factor which enables visitors to discover the culture, history, natural heritage and traditions of the towns through which they travel.
Many of these routes are part of “Landscapes with flavour”, a project that the Ministry of Tourism and Sport for the Regional Government of Andalusia created in collaboration with private companies and regional and local organisations to promote the natural and culinary wealth of the region, with criteria which always include top quality.
