Guide Culinary Tourism
This guide provides readers with information on the region's enormous culinary wealth, describing the main ingredients, traditions, recipes and with comprehensive details on the possibilities for gastro-tourism, being a faithful ambassador of the Mediterranean Diet, declared by the UNESCO as a World Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2010.
Wine, olive oil, rice, Iberian ham and Almadraba tuna are the common factor which enables visitors to discover the culture, history, natural heritage and traditions of the towns through which they travel.
Many of these routes are part of "Landscapes with Flavour”, a project that the Ministry of Tourism and Sport for the Regional Government of Andalusia created in collaboration with private companies and regional and local organisations to promote the natural and culinary wealth of the region, with criteria which always include top quality.
It includes maps of the main gastronomic routes, culinary events, recipes and a full directory covering everything from visits to wineries, olive-oil mills, museums and visitor centres to attractive tourist packages designed by agricultural/livestock estates, growers of tropical products and traditional cheese dairies.
