Almazara La Andaluza
Almazara La Andaluza is in the Jaén town of Pozo Alcón, it is a family business that produces and sells extra virgin olive oil from the area of the "Cazorla, Segura y las Villas" Nature Park in the south-east of the province of Jaén. It is located in a privileged area, between pine and olive trees on hills, where the olive groves undergo great changes in temperature, making the oil they produce unique and completely traditional.
The beginnings of Almazara La Andaluza date back to the late 18th century in facilities located in a building adjacent to the current factory. In 1987, a granddaughter of the former owners and her husband bought the mill for commercial purposes. After various extensions and improvements, they have the most advanced and productive technology in the sector, and are striving to do a good job, from start to finish, to the advantage of the quality of our products.
The final result of this process of careful preparation at the Almazara La Andaluza is an extra virgin olive oil, with all of its flavour, aroma and colour — essential characteristics of the unbeatable olive grown in our region to achieve oils with an intense, fruity aroma of green meadows, apples, almonds, the taste of fresh fruit, slightly tart and sharp. Almost all of the produce comes from the Picual olive and a little of the Royal variety.
