Biography

Pedro Sierra was born in Hospitalet de llobregat (Barcelona) in 1966 When he was eight, he started to learn to play the guitar with masters Remolino and Juan Manuel Estrada, and when he was only nine he started to work in Barcelona´s flamenco peñas with a great success among fllamenco fans Later on, he studied with Manolo Sanlúcar and Isidro Muñoz in Sevilla, where he progressed considerably in his way of playing

He began to be demanded by professional flamenco singers and dancers and worked in theatres in Spain and all over Europe Shortly after that, he took up residence in Madrid, where started to work with Carmen Linares, with whom he recorded two successful records He also worked with Javier BarónJosé Mercé, La Chana, Tomatito, and Antonio Canales, among others

He was contracted by the 'Cumbre Flamenca´ show, with which he travelled around the world, performing in the most important theatres of cities such as New York, Jakarta, Bogotá, London, Paris, Mexico, Kuopio, Roma, Tokyo, etc

Nowadays, he has two solo records, "Al Sur de mi Guitarra" (1997) and "Decisión" (2001, awarded a prize by the critics as the revelation CD of soloist guitar)
