Paymogo
Mining village belonging to the region of Andevalo and situated in the west of the province, very close to the border with Portugal. Its surrounding scenery is made up of farming land and AREAs of holm oak woods ideal for pigs and game.
The monuments of interest worth mentioning are St Mary Magdalene"s church, the remains of the castle, the house of Vaz de Soto and the communal granary.
History
The Christian conquest was carried out by the action of the Military Orders.It was repopulated after the conquest of Niebla.
