He played in several clubs such as a Cueva del Pájaro Azul, in Cadiz; La Gaditana, in Ibiza; or Los Canasteros, in Madrid; and he joined El Duende, a club from Madrid owned by Pastora Imperio and Gitanillo de Triana, where he played for Terremoto, Sernita and La Perla de Cádiz Later on he played for artists such as Lola Flores, or La Paquera de Jerez for over thirty years
Curro Malena, Enrique Morente, Manuel Agujetas, Antonio Mairena, Chocolate, Calixto Sánchez, Naranjito de Triana, Luis de Córdoba, Pansequito or La Macanita are some of the singers for whom he has played, not only live, but also on album recordings
As a soloist, Parrilla de Jerez recorded four albums, including "Nostalgia" and "Jondura" His professional career, which included recovering Christmas folklore from Jerez and composing the processional march "Virgen de la Piedad", has been recognised by the Chair of Flamenco Studies of Jerez, which gave him the National Guitar Award in 1973
