Small village belonging to the Aljarafe district and located to the south of Seville on a plateau from which there is a beautiful view of its fields and olive groves. The most interesting monuments are the parish church, the Tower commemorating the Exposition of 1929 and some of the country estates of the municipality.

History

The remains discovered in the AREA indicate that the oldest settlements date back to Roman times.
At the time of Al-Andalus it was the location of a farmstead around which the present village developed.
Ferdinand III led the Christian reconquest of the village and surrounding ones, as a result of which the village gained importance.
