In Palma del Río, occupying an old Franciscan monastery and sharing facilities with the Hotel of the same name, the Restaurante Monasterio de San Francisco serves excellent Andalusian cuisine enriched numerous contributions originating from the different cultures that have inhabited this area.
The scenario for the dining room is provided by the splendid cloisters of the monastery on summer nights, and the refectory in winter.
During the hunting season, in autumn and winter, the menu is enhanced by the finest game dishes. You'll always find salmorejo Cordobés (thick gazpacho made with bread) traditional cod and Iberian pork on the menu, the rest varies according to the season

In recognition for its cuisine, the Restaurante Monasterio de San Francisco has been awarded two Gold Dishes for Spanish Gastronomy and in January 2009 it was chosen as the best restaurant in the province of Cordoba.
