Small village in the county of birth, next to the road-Almeria Guadix, near the river with the same name. Belongs to the municipality of Las Tres Villas, being the most important core and where, along with Doña María, is concentrated the administration.

Its territory is situated at the foot of Sierra Nevada, and therefore not included in the Natural Park of Sierra Nevada, a natural paradise of the community for its rich landscape, flora, fauna and anthropology.
