Daniel Navarro Cruz was born in Bellavista (Seville) in 1966 At first he wanted to be a dancer like his brother José Joaquín, but he soon decided to play guitar instead He was trained in the atmosphere of his neighbourhood and in Dos Hermanas and he soon started to win contests, such as La Unión, the Chair of Flamenco Studies, the Young Interpreters at the Seville Biennale
He became a professional guitarist thanks to Manolo Sanlúcar, and Juanito Valderrama gave him his first chances to perform on stage He recorded with him and with Perro de Paterna and he accompanied his brother, while improving his technique more than anyone could have imagined He is famous for his staccato In recent years he has been alternating his solo career with performances with Aurora Vargas and Pansequito, amongst others
