Biography

Rafael Calderón Berraquero was born in Olivares, Sevilla, on the 7th of June 1979 He began to sing, influenced by his fathers enormous enthusiasm and at the age of seven performed for the first time in his villages fair alongside Juanito Valderrama, Fosforito, Chocolate and Gabrel Moreno Later on he shared stage with other great figures such as Fernanda and Bernarda from Utrera He combined this activity with his love for football, until becoming an established artist during his first appearance in The Mines of La Union's International Flamenco Song Festival, to which he returned for five editions until in 2001 he carried of the Mining Lamp award He has recorded "Poderosa Magia", in which he performs the words written by the Korean poet Daniel Pineda Novo
