José Sánchez Bernal was born in Sevilla in 1933 and died in the same city in 2002 He brought into the world in a community in calle Fabié in Triana He was already a flamenco singer at the age of five and embarked on numerous tours throughout Andalusia There is a famous anecdote that he protagonist along side Narci Díaz -Los Niños Hispalenses- when Evita Perón arrived in Sevilla, both came out of a great cake to pay tribute to her, the scene was recorded for cinema Later came his international tours and his incorporation´s into the summer festivals Antonio Mairena artistically adopted him and they recorded a Misa flamenca with which he gained great recognition He recorded numerous albums in the company of great guitarists such as Sabicas, Manolo Sanlúcar, Paco Cepero, Juan Habichuela, Enrique de Melchor and, above all, Paco de Lucía, with who he recorded a 'bambera´ to a 'soleá por bulerías´ rhythm for the first time in history He retired in the 1996 Biennial and until his death he was a singing teacher in the Cristina Heeren Foundation in Sevilla
