Museo Preindustrial de la Caña de Azúcar - Ingenio de La Palma
Located behind the Casa de la Palma, on the remains of an old sugar mill in the sixteenth century, stands the Museo Preindustrial de la Caña de Azúcar - Ingenio de La Palma.
In an area of over 1,000 square meters, it is possible to recognize the manufacturing and marketing, between the thirteenth and eighteenth centuries, with original scale reproductions of the mills and presses, and also rooms for cooking and purge sugarloaf.
This museum is an unique place in Europe.
General admission: €3 Reduced* admission: €2 *Groups of over 20 people; persons under 35 years of age; persons over 65 years of age and disabled persons.
Summer (15.6.-15.9.) Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am. to 2 pm. and 6 to 8 pm. Sunday from 10 am. to 2 pm. Winter (16.9.-14.6) Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am. to 2 pm. and 4 to 7 pm. Sunday from 10 am. to 1:30 pm.
The price of the visit includes a guided tour. The tour can be in Spanish, English, French or German. Informative leaflets about the museum are available in several languages.
