Bodegas Pérez Barquero
In Montilla, and forming part of the Montilla-Moriles Wine Route, Bodegas Pérez Barquero winery was founded in 1905 and its name has now become famous the world over, as endorsed by the prestigious awards and competitions that it has won.
The magnificent qualities that set their wines apart are due to the chalky soil, the richness and delicacy of the grapes and the unique climate of Andalusia. A natural ageing process is used in the Pérez Barquero cellars, veritable cathedrals due to their structure, silence and magnificence.
Bodegas Pérez Barquero offer guided tours of the winery, in Spanish, English or French, on which you are shown the facilities and learn how the different wines, brandies and vinegars are produced and aged. After the tour, there is a tasting in the sacristy or D.O.P. Wine Tasting room.
You can also visit the winepresses and vineyards of the Sierra de Montilla mountains, as well as organise wine and lunch pairing and guided tastings. It has three rooms for events and meetings.
