Bodegas Maíllo e Hijos

Bodegas Maíllo e Hijos is situated in the municipality of Montilla, in Lagar Saavedra "Bodegas Maillo", 3 kilometres from the Cerro Macho hill, in Sierra de Montilla mountains.

The wines from this press are stored in five cellars, three of them with earthenware jars and two with wineskins, with a total capacity of 960,000 litres.

The wine is produced using a mill and press made up of a timing screw, grinder, pump and three horizontal presses with wooden staves. They have a semi-controlled fermentation tank where tumultuous fermentation takes place, and then the wine is placed in earthenware jars and the result is one of the best wines in the "Sierra de Montilla" area.
