The cultural property known as the "Cotte Archaeological Area" covers a large part of the Montellano mountain range. The area is made up of Cotte Castle and the Pancorbo city walls.

Cotte Tower, a structure built to defend the area against the Moorish gangs that roamed the Kingdom of Seville (13th century). The tower was used for military and religious purposes, has just one square level with arches on each of the sides and a chapel with thick, limestone walls. The tower has a Gothic brick groin vault. It was rebuilt on the site of a walled Muslim area. The building has been classified as a tower with four apses. This characteristic and its design make it unique in Spain.

The Pancorbo city walls stand on the highest part of the San Pablo mountain range, dominating the whole region. The remains include large exterior stones (some have holes for beams and scaffolding) and the gaps have been filled in some places. This is undoubtedly the best archaeological site in the area due to the quality of the limited archaeological materials discovered (loom, swords, coins) and the historical period it covers. This period covers the Bronze Age to the Early Middle Ages.
