Building began on the current architectural site in 1875, according to drawings by the well-known architect from Seville, Juan Talavera y de la Vega. He designed representative buildings such as the "Costurero de la Reina", a small palace located in the former gardens of the San Telmo Palace in Seville.
An octagonal, pink veined marble fountain with ten water jets and steps. Since 28 February 1877, when it was officially opened, this fountain has provided the town with water from the San Pablo mountains.
