Bodegas y Viñedos La Capuchina
Bodegas y Viñedos La Capuchina is situated in a farm in Mollina, in the north of the province of Malaga, where the vineyards and olive groves stretch out as far as the eye can see, round the redoubts of Mediterranean vegetation. The winery facilities are inside an ancient farmhouse, and the oil press, barns and haylofts have been refurbished and adapted.
The winery’s own vineyards are 20 hectares, and grow red and white varieties to make Málaga and Sierras de Málaga DO wine.
Capuchina Vieja wines are the result of the acclimatisation of varieties like Moscatel de Alejandría, Cabernet Franc and Syrah to Mediterranean areas, where the light, the temperature in summer and loamy soils leave their imprint on the colour, aroma and palate of the wine.
If you visit La Capuchina farmhouse you’ll be able to enjoy a place where wine and oil are made. You can find out first hand about the jobs that are required to make top quality products and the processes that are followed to produce white, red and sweet wines.
The visit lasts about two and a half hours and ends with wine and oil tasting. The winery will confirm your visit date and time by email. The winery does not have a dining room but catering can be booked if there is a minimum number of people.
