Bodegas del Diezmo Nuevo
Founded in 1770, Bodegas del Diezmo Nuevo - Bodegas Sáenz is the last surviving wine-maker of the large number that used to exist in Moguer. It is currently owned by the heirs of the original founders, pioneers in the production of orange wines from the Condado de Huelva.
The winery complex is the classic model of wineries maintained throughout the region: the space laid out around a central courtyard, forming a group of three warehouses with semicircular arches, over square pillars and covered by a gabled, wood roof.
The star products at Bodegas del Diezmo Nuevoe are its vermouth and its orange wine, which have won numerous awards.
To the architectural characteristics of the winery, we must add its location in the historic quarter of Moguer, which lends it a "something special" for organised tours, which include a tasting of its wines.
