Almazara Puerta de las Villas

Puerta de las Villas is the brand of the Andalusian Cooperative Society of San Vicente de Mogón, located in the municipality of Villacarrillo in Jaén. It was founded in 1966 by about 100 pioneering members in cooperative work – farmers of the olive grove tradition. In recent years, the board of directors of this cooperative, made up exclusively of farmer members, has made a strong commitment to achieving excellence in the production of extra virgin olive oil. All of this is achieved by blending tradition, enhanced techniques, modernisation of its facilities, and the expertise of its master miller.

With the aim of promoting olive culture and the value of EVOO, they organise visits and tastings at their olive mill, located in the heart of the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas Natural Park.

On your visit to this oil mill, you are invited to embark on a sensorial and gastronomic journey through a unique natural environment. During the visit, you will learn about the EVOO production process and the centuries-old gastronomic tradition that it has shaped, through many generations, the personality and culture of Mogón and its people. You can also start the day with a miller's breakfast, enjoying a tasting of the different types of olive oil accompanied by local products.
