Located in the headquarters building of the old Town Hall from 1912 until 1986, the Museum opened its doors to the public in May 1995.

Besides the permanent exhibition on the uses and customs of the people of Mijas, it has rooms for temporary exhibitions (painting, photography). It also offers facilities for the holding of lectures, seminars, competitions, flamenco concerts, etc.

Monday to Sunday from 10 am. to 8 pm. July 1 to September 15: Monday to Sunday from 10 am. to 3 pm. and from 5 pm. to 10 pm.
