CAC Mijas
CAC Mijas is in the heart of the historic part of MijasMalaga. On the 29th of November 2013, the Contemporary Art Centre Mijas opened with the exhibition: “Picasso, friends and contemporary figures”.
The CAC Mijas has works of art by Picasso, Dalí, Georges Braque, Tsugouharu Foujita and other important artists who influenced the life and work of the artist from Malaga.
The CAC Mijas has the second largest collection of ceramics in the world by Pablo Ruiz Picasso, part of the museum's permanent exhibition.
The centre, which has a collection of over 500 donated works of art, has three rooms distributed over two floors. Room 1, on the ground floor, hosts a permanent exhibition of ceramics by Picasso and Rooms 2 and 3, on the first floor, are used for temporary exhibitions.
Most of this collection features works by Pablo Ruiz Picasso in different techniques: lithographs, linoleums, etchings, sculptures, ceramics, etc.
