La Cala Resort - Campo América

The America Course
La Cala Resort, Golf Mijas on the Costa del Sol, is one of the most important golf complexes in Andalusia, with three 18 hole golf courses designed by Cabell Robinson: The America Course, Asia Course and Europa Course.
La Cala Resort, provides four-star accommodation in the La Cala Hotel, in traditional Andalusian style with a number of restaurants and bars, including the Restaurante and Bar Laurel and the Bar Los Naranjos, among others.
- Three 18-hole golf courses:
- Six par-three holes ideal for both experienced players and for beginners.
- Golf School, the La Cala Golf Academy, with spacious facilities for practice.
- Putting and chipping area.
- Special offers including hotel and spa packages.
- Club and sports shop.
- Andalusian style Clubhouse
With spectacular views to the Sierra de Ojén and the Mediterranean, the America Course in La Cala Resort (formerly known as the North Course) is a relatively easy course. The main difficulty lies in its mountainous terrain and the number of elevated greens. This course is ideal with a buggy.
- There are water hazards on holes 9 and 16.
- The inherent difficulties mean that you should pay special on the par-5 18th hole, on the down slope with an iron, and on the par-3 16th hole, with a difficult slope and a lake.
- Four of the par-5 holes (1st, 9th, 15th and 18th) can be reached in two strokes.
- The par-3 holes are spectacular and will really test your skill as a player.
The America Course will require all your golfing skills on the approach as three-quarters of the greens are slightly elevated.
