Master Craftsmen, a legacy and hands, treasures of Andalusia

A total of 142 trades and crafts make craftwork in Andalusia one of the greatest treasures and legacies of Andalusian heritage.Years of work, dedication and effort have meant that we can enjoy unique pieces, completely removed from the industrial serial production that is gradually flooding the displays of the great majority of shops.

Being able to enjoy a unique and original piece, like those our master craftsmen develop with hands forged by tradition, is a treasure that these people have —day by day— managed to evolve and keep up-to-date, maintaining the way of making them intact.

Ceramics, pottery and iron. Carving wood or sculpting marble. Leather goods, the restoration of string instruments, and silverwork. Manual arts that, unwittingly, have become ambassadors of the luxury of Andalusia–our land.

Artisan trades that have managed to combine history, culture and tradition and are now grouped together in the so-called "Index of Artisan Trades in Andalusia”, protecting and adding value to their works, such as in the case of master luthiers, or linen workers or those working with Mudejar coffering.

Many of these jobs receive the title of "Artisan Master Certificate” in recognition of their skills, merits and professional career, which we offer here in order to promote these famous craftsmen of Andalusia.
