Near the Sports Centre of Martos, Jaén, we can find the Archaeological Site of the Early Christian Basilica and Roman Road with the remains of an early Christian basilica of the fourth century and a roman road.

The remains of the basilica include a baptismal font, the atrium or entrance courtyard and the floor plan of the basilica, which consists of three naves separated by columns.

The Roman Road dates back to the High Empire and was used to access the city. Executed in large slabs, you can see the marks from the carriages that travelled on it.
