Control de la Cabrera

Another excellent place is the Control de La Cabrera, in Marmolejo (Jaén). It now has the great advantage of being able to connect directly into electricity from an outside socket on the wall of the guard's hut. The access road runs through a forest track that is relatively easy for vehicles; this track leads from the town of Marmolejo, after crossing the bridge over the Guadalquivir around the spa. On the north bank of the river, take a turnoff to the right towards La Aliseda, follow the signs and the track for 12.5 km until reaching the closed gate. You can leave the vehicle and place your gear on the other side and enter by the pedestrian gate.

This place is especially recommended for those who have telescopes and other gear and wish for a socket to connect their equipment to gain an outstanding view of the sky.
