Real Club de Golf Las Brisas
Royal Club de Golf Las Brisas is one of the ultimate challenges to club golfers and professionals. This Robert Trent Jones design opened in 1969 and is recognised as one of Europ´s finest courses. Having hosted the World Cup twice, the Spanish Open three times and the Mediterranean Open playing here represents an achievement in any golfe´s yearbook.
A typical Trent Jones design it features raised greens and numerous, strategically placed sand traps. Water is a major feature and must be crossed or avoided on twelve holes. Beware of the three opening holes which require concentration but are not especially difficult, they are a deceptive introduction to the following fifteen. Another resident of Marbell´s Golf Valley, Royal Las Brisas welcome visitors all year although members do have priority. The course is now managed by Jan Sonnevi who took over in June 1996.
