Centro de Interpretación Viñas de Manilva (CIVIMA)
The Viñas of Manilva Visitor Centre (CIVIMA) is in the district of Manilva in Malaga.
It has the following exhibition spaces:
- Audiovisual Room: Documentary display on aspects related to the project and the district of Manilva.
- Wine Production Room: Space for the description, through images and objects, of the particularities of the wine production of Manilva, such as the cultivated grape varieties, plant morphology, traditional work methods and tools used.
- Oenology Room: Exhibition space for the description of wine production, comparing the traditional and modern systems.
- Grape-harvesting Room and the Grape-harvesting Festival: The traditional reed 'Sombrajo' or pergola can be seen, where the grape processing tasks were carried out before taking it to the market. Photographs from different periods related to wine production festivals and customs. Description and use of 'paseros' for the production of raisins and grapes for obtaining sweet wines.
It also has the Bodegas Nilva winery located in the building adjoining the CIVIMA.
