Mesón Lo Güeno
In Malaga and with a name says it all, the Mesón Lo Güeno (“the good stuff”) is a typical small but charming tavern. It has been open since 1967 and it is usually packed.
The menu is traditional and varied and the atmosphere quite special, with legs of ham hanging above the bar and many different tapas on display.
Prawn tapas, eels, Iberian ham, "albondigones" (huge meatballs), scrambled eggs with wild asparagus, "flamenquines" (fried pork and ham rolls), baby broad beans with ham, cod, red meats and many other dishes in a menu worthy of the most demanding palates. However, undoubtedly, what has given Lo Güeno its national and international prestige is the quality of its tapas.
Lo Güeno is as good as Lo Güeno Strachan, also found in the heart of the city
