The Museo Palacio Episcopal ARS Málaga is an example of the Málaga civil architecture, inspired by the late Baroque of the XVIII century. The facade is perfectly complementary to that of the Cathedral, the most notorious thing being the central body formed by three self-styled bays, the superior showing a niche with a Virgin of the Anguishes, from the hand of the sculptor Fernando Ortiz.
ARS Málaga is an art space under the Diocese of Málaga thanks to the generous donation of marriage Jiménez-Arellano Alonso. At this moment important exhibitions take place, with a changing visit schedule. As well as hosting an exhibition of African art permanent.
