Museo Interactivo de la Música (MIMMA)
The collection MIMMA comprises about 400 different musical instruments. This is a representative selection which offers a panoramic view of all instruments in the world, showing all aspects of music, from the impact of silence to the transformation to music as a product.
This is an interactive museum where the visitor is meant to interact with the location. To do so, there are computers, interactive modules, multimedia spaces, musical experiments, scenographic compositions and, of course, musical instruments to “please play” to familiarise the visitor with music and allow him to organise his very own visit.
An average visit takes about 30 to 45 minutes, but it can go on for as long as you’d want with hundreds of hours of videos, endless experiments to conduct and many instruments to play.
Over the course of the year the museum offers hundreds of activities including concerts, conferences, projections, screenings, performances, contests, round tables, expositions… Well enough to have a complete educational programme during the whole year.
