Centro de Ciencia Principia
The Principia Science Centre is organised into three major areas:
- The Tomás Hormigo Room has over sixty interactive modules through which you can understand the bases underlying many natural phenomena.
- The Faraday Room is used to present live experiments about electrostatics, mechanics, optics, chemicals, etc. to enjoy and learn about science differently.
- The Planetarium has over one thousand two hundred stars of the constellations seen in our sky and in the Southern Hemisphere, as the skies from all over the world can be reproduced, and any time of year.
Principia Science Centre is an interactive science centre known for encouraging the promotion of technological and scientific dissemination for everyone, in an enjoyable way, without losing rigour in its content.
It is interactive because it includes the manipulation of objects which invites you to think, reflect and experience, motivating visitors to discover and research on their own the scientific foundations of the world's natural wonders around us.
It is linked to the world of teaching, so its activities are distinctively didactic, and are a good resource for teachers and students in the science teaching-learning process.
