Bodega Antigua Casa de Guardia, established in 1840 by José de la Guardia, is the oldest working winery in Malaga.
Situated in Finca del Romerillo, two kilometres from Olías on the way to Comares, it is a group of buildings and their lands where grapes have been growing and Malaga wines have been made since the early 19th century. They are currently Málaga and Sierra de Málaga DO wines.
If you visit the winery you'll be able to learn more about the work in the vineyards, the "pizá" (stomping) of grapes, production and ageing of Málaga wine and all the stages of the process and traditional techniques, in a way that is fun and out on the field. It is a living press where you can enjoy and take part in a trade that is an art and part of the local culture.
