Hotel California is located in the heart of the Costa del Sol, between La Malagueta and La Caleta, typical 19th-century Malaga bourgeoisie neighbourhoods, in a prime location in the city. Very close to the city's most popular beach, "La Malagueta", and to the old town, which you can get to by walking through the pleasant Paseo del Parque, a Mediterranean and subtropical garden in the Renaissance and Baroque styles.

Hotel California was opened in the 1950s as a luxury hotel and is currently a two-star boutique hotel.
