The Hacienda Porzuna Peri-urban Park lives on in an environment being constantly changed by human activity. It is densely populated and is gradually losing its rural character. Nevertheless, this nature area allows typical natural resources of the Aljarafe cornice to be conserved, as well as providing a recreation area for nearby towns and cities such as Sevilla.

Here you can enjoy Mediterranean woodland, a remnant of the landscape which, along with the "campiña" open countryside, used to characterise this region, decades back. Of the vegetation here, we should mention the holm oak and wild olive tree, but there are many more species that can be identified, and this is why it has an interesting botanical route. Another attraction here is the old La Hacienda Porzuna Farmhouse. It is in perfect condition and is of great historic and artistic interest. The characteristics of this peri-urban park make it an excellent location for environmental education activities.

Hacienda Porzuna has one of the most interesting landscapes in the province: Aljarafe. This is a large, sloping ridge that runs down gently towards the marshes. This region, between the Guadalquivir and Guadiamar Rivers, is home to the Guadiamar Green Corridor Protected Landscape, an ideal place to go for walks. The Medellín to Isla Mayor Livestock Trail runs parallel to the Pudio River. This was one of the most important livestock trails on the Iberian Peninsula. Nowadays its has been adapted for exploring on foot, by bike or on horseback.
