Biography
José Patiño González was born in Cádiz in 1829 and died in 1902 He was the great maestro of flamenco guitar in the 19th century He was the creator of the capo, since he was determined to find a way of accompanying all singers within the same tonality, independently to the tessitura of each of them
He structured the majority of the era´s pieces of guitar playing and gave form to many 'llamadas´ which still live on in our times He also stood out for being the first solo flamenco guitarist of all times
