Lupión
This little village is situated in the geographic centre of the province, next to Baeza. Its lands, covered by olive trees and cereal fields, go down towards the Guadalquivir banks.
History
From the remains that have been found within its district, we can see that the first human settlements date from prehistoric times. It is believed that during the Roman period, Castulo"s holiday houses were in the village.
Situated in the La Loma AREA, the village got its independence from Baeza thanks to a loan of 6.000 reales de vellón (an old Spanish coin made of copper) given by Juan Arredondo.
