La muerte en Sefarad, una visita con anfitrión al cementerio judío
With the help of a hostess and thanks to virtual dramatisations, you will be able to discover the Jewish necropolis of Lucena, a very important site that helps to understand the Sephardic past of Lucena. The The Jewish Necropolis of Eliossana was unearthed in 2006 when some work was being carried out on the Ronda Sur road. This accidental discovery brought the construction work to a halt in order to examine the ruins. After analysing 346 tombs and recovering part of the bodies, they were reburied on 18 December 2012, which means that bodies of the inhabitants of Eliossana in the 10th and 11th centuries are still buried there. Tours last 30 minutes and require a mobile phone with data in order to scan QR codes, and headphones. Headphones are available on site for €0.50.
