Located in Lopera, the Chapel of Cristo del Humilladero or Cristo Chico is in Baroque style and dates from the 18th century. Although the Cristo del Humilladero did not reach Lopera until 1941, the soldiery of the Santísimo Cristo del Humilladero was founded 1761. It is the custom of the soldiery to wave banners and fire salutes during the procession of their Christ.

The Fair and Festival of the Christ in honour of the Cristo de la Veracruz and the Cristo del Humilladero date back to 1628. The festivities currently take place on the penultimate Sunday in August and the following Monday and Tuesday, although they officially begin on Saturday night when the lights are turned on, the fair announced and the coronation of the queen and ladies of honour takes place.

Visits must be arranged beforehand by telephone or by e-mail.
